When it comes to attracting and keeping the attention of Twitter users it is critical to stand out from all the other Twitter users and the best way to do this is with a Custom Twitter Background. Twitter is an amazing tool for keeping friends, family and even clients connected but the User Experience needs to be exceptional and Custom Twitter Backgrounds will enable you to keep and hold the attention of your visitors. It’s really quite basic to create your own custom Twitter background and we’ll go over the basic steps you’ll need to do.
The first step is logging into your Twitter account, once you are in you need to choose what style of image to use for your Twitter background. The image you decide on should directly represent what you are offering, if your Twitter account is based around sports, a sports-related theme should be used. Spend some time choosing the correct image and in the end, the right image will make all the difference. Remember that the majority of the ‘activity’ on your Twitter page will occur in the center, so choose an image that isn’t too ‘busy’ in the center.
Your image should be large enough to prevent the necessity of titling of the image, that is, if your image is too small it will automatically be repeated either vertically, horizontally, or both to fill up the blank space. Your image should be as large as 1600×1200 pixels to fit perfectly.
Once you have the perfect image it’s time to upload it to Twitter. Once logged in to your Twitter account click the ‘Design’ link found under the ‘Settings’ button. Once clicked you will see a button labeled ‘Change Background Image,’ click this button and upload your new background image. Once it’s uploaded you’ll be able to test it out, if it looks good to you, perfect, if not you can go back and choose another different image to use.
